TAWAU: The district’s Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) Pemuda section will once again organize a blood drive campaign in the effort to compliment the district’s blood bank.
Organizing chairman for the event, Kelvin Chia said that the drive will begin at 9.00 am until noon time to be held at the district’s general hospital in the blood bank section on August 28.
`This is our fourth blood drive event and as usual we encourages the general public to come and donate blood as it is a healthy thing to do and it can also save lives’, he explain in a press conference.
Donating blood is a process which human body can handle as human body can reproduce new blood to replace the blood taken and this meant that donor’s body will receive new blood.
Chia also hailed the generous contribution made by Carlberg Malaysia in supplying NutriMalt drink to donors as it has done since the event was first held. He said that the contribution will also assist donors in rejuvenating their loss of blood. Chia received five boxes of the health drink from district sales manager Fung Nyit On and the event was witnessed by Chong Hon Kong @ Hon Vun, the Chinese community leader of Sri Tanjung.
